This year we are very proud to announce that our chosen charity will be the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust. Come and have a chat with staff on the WWT stand who will be on hand to answer your questions and sign up new members.
WWT is a conservation charity that saves wetlands for some of our planet’s most amazing wildlife, and for people too. At the same time, we inspire people to value wetlands at our nine UK wetland centres.
Our nearest centre to Gloucester is WWT Slimbridge. Founded in 1946, it was here that Sir Peter Scott developed a pioneering approach to conservation – bringing people closer to wildlife, inspiring them to look after the natural world.
Since then, we’ve taken our wetland expertise around the globe. We rescue endangered species from the edge of extinction. We investigate what’s damaging the wetlands on which people and wildlife depend. And we protect, repair and create exciting new wetlands for people and wildlife.
The Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust (WWT) is a registered charity, no. 1030884 in England and Wales, and SCO39410 in Scotland.by admin
